Tutus for Noah and Charlotte
Sara has been through a lot in the past year. She found out her Sweet baby Charlotte has a rare cancer called retinoblastoma. It is cancer in the eye. They decided the best treatment would be to have Charlotte's eye removed. Soon after they found out that Noah has cancer in his eyes too, but thankfully the tumors are treatable with chemotherapy. You can read the story here.
No family should have this burden on them. Sara is working hard to be a mom, wife, business owner, and on top of it all she is also going to nursing school.
I would like to help Sara's family. I'm sure the emotional and physical burden has been difficult enough not to mention the financial burden that comes along with medical and travel expenses incurred along the way.
Here is Sara's facebook page which has a link to her store she has on Artfire. Please if you have anyone on your gift list for Christmas buy some things from her store.
I want to do something for her family so my tutu instructions for a layer tutu and for a Pixie tutu are up for sale until December 31st at 1/2 price. The code is 50INTRO. You can receive the instructions in pdf or word format. Here is the listing on my website.
Picture of Zebra Diva tutu provided by Like A Fox Photography. Thank you, Sara Abrams.
I will also be adding blogs about other friends of Sara who are trying to help her out.
Mama's Little Monkeys has a charity section in her Artfire store to help out Sara. Please check out her store if you are looking for quality children's boutique items as gifts.
I need to learn how to add pictures on my blog in order to do more pictures. Sorry I am not able to show more with pictures.
Thanks for reading. Please bless Sara's family this Christmas. Thank you :)

We are busy at work designing new products and enjoying the spring sunshine. Recently we have been designing several new pixie dresses and costumes that would be beautiful at a wedding as well as for a birthday outfit or for dress up fun!
The pixie dresses are a stretchy top covered with delicate flower blossoms. We like to use hydrangeas, daisies, rose petals, and more. The skirt is made of several layers of pixie cut tulle. The fun thing about these dresses is that they are one of a kind. No two dresses will be exactly alike we have so many options to choose from in flower colors and tulle.

Maggie's Rose Garden is so excited to be a part of this year's Downtown Des Moines Farmer's Market. Every Saturday from May through October the farmer's market features fresh produce, meat, dairy, other food, flowers, plants, arts, crafts, and other products from over 200 Iowa vendors.
We have been accepted as an occasional vendor this summer and will be at the market 5 times throughout the summer. We will have many styles of hair accessories and hopefully other items like tutus, flip flops, costumes, ruffle skirts and socks, applique and rhinestone tees, and pillowcase dresses.

Does anyone else think there is a Baby Boom happening right now? Everywhere I look there is a friend or family member or a woman at the mall having a baby. Yes spring is that time when we prepare for babies to arrive. It seems to me though that the current amount of pregnant bellies is at least double the norm.
I've heard of a Baby Boom. Wasn't the last baby boom around the time of the Great Depression. Now we have one during the time of the Great Recession.
I personally think this would be an extremely fun time to be having a baby. There's all kinds of new gizmos and gadgets and gear and trendy baby attire now adays. When I wore my babies a few years ago people looked at me like I was psycho. Now babywearing seems to finally be catching on!
If you are looking for a perfect baby shower gift look no further than Maggie's Rose Garden We offer many boutique style items for newborns including crochet hats and headbands with bows or flowers, tutus, legwarmers, and applique tees and custom embroidery.

Even with the record-breaking snowfall and low temps we've been experiencing through out the country, we have so much to look forward to. Spring will be here in a few months.
It really is a time of preparation and anticipation. A time of waiting and hibernating. So many happenings await us even beginning in February.
The season of love is upon us. Valentine's Day. Weddings. Babies. Mother's Day. The thought of spring and growth and green makes all of the cabin fever dissipate.
Especially when I have time to share some of the wonderful creations we've been designing at Maggie's Rose Garden
We ordered several types of new silk flowers from various online retailers and I love them. My favorite flowers still come from the best craft store in the US, Hobby Lobby , but we love being able to offer a variety of sizes and types of flowers. The flowers are used in so many of the products we design including the deluxe tutus, princess wands, blooming flower headbands, bloomin beanies, flip-flops, and more.
I wanted to offer something new to those who love Valentine's Day and I was inspired by ribbon I picked up at Hobby Lobby The ribbon is decorated in the suits of playing cards; hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. I thought how fun would it be to design a tutu I've named Queen of Your Heart. The tutu is made of red, black, and white tulle with a black satin ribbon wrapped waist and finished with bow and flower clip of choice. The black tulle has red satin appliques and the red tulle has black satin appliques. I love the look of this tutu, perfect for Valentine's Day photos. I am also adding many more of the flower headbands and beanie hats to inventory in a rainbow of colors and flower sizes. We've also been working on Valentine hair bows, curlies, and clippies to match all your little lovlies Valentine outfits.
